Time runs like crazy. Rayhan, Rajiv's son is 5 months old. In march this year, it will be 5 years since dad departed.
Life is too short to waste on anything really.
Whenever you are in doubt over something, remember that even this will become history in no time. Idea is to be in the moment and do it now.
I learn t that early in my late teens when dad use to lure me with sentences like once you complete this, the whole life is there for your enjoyment. I completed 10th, 12th, graduation, first job all on that pretext thinking good times are ahead of me.
Good times, just like bad times are here now. you can procrastinate your whole life just on this pretext and realize all of a sudden that your youth is over if not life. Dalai lama on being asked by Shalini, 'What is the purpose of life' simply said, 'To be joyful'.
Its one thing to have an awareness of this fact and totally another to model your life around that. I am sure all of us have read this "gyan" somewhere or other and nodded in affirmation but how many of us actually went ahead and at least started trying to taste the present.
I for one am doing my bit. Without giving a rat's ass to expectations, my own conditioning, opinions, prejudices this and that, I am at least trying to do what pleases me. be it the person i married, to the work I am doing ,to the places I am visiting ,to adventures i m seeking..
Speaking of which, next in line is SKYDIVE which has eluded me all this while. Got to get it over with.
